"The Blair Witch Project" kan bli tv-serie

Om man ska tro regissören Eduardo Sánchez kan The Blair Witch Project bli tv-serie.

Tanken på att The Blair Witch Project ska bli tv-serie har länge varit på tapeten, men utan resultat. Nu hintar återigen regissören om att kultfilmen kan bli tv.

I en intervju i filmpoden Diminishing Returns berättar Eduardo Sánchez, som regisserade The Blair Witch Projekt tillsammans med Daniel Myrick, att han lobbar för att filmen ska bli tv-serie. Och trots tidigare försöka att skaka liv i kultfilmen tror han att en tv-serie kommer bli verklighet i framtiden.

"For us, it’s a very natural thing to go and say, ‘Hey, let’s do a frickin’ Blair Witch show. You can say it’s from the original creators and we can bring in a whole bunch of interesting directors to direct episodes."

"I think that the idea of a ‘Blair Witch’ anthology has always been very — just a really interesting thing. You’re close. You’re in the ballpark. You know, and I think it might be one of those things that might be — you know — the more you think about it, you’re like, ‘That might be the perfect…a TV show.’ You know? So, we’ll see what happens, but I think that’s the next big thing for ‘Blair Witch.’ Probably TV."

Den första Blair Witch Project blev en stor succé när den släpptes 1999. Med en budget på ynka 60 000 dollar spelade filmen in hisnande 250 miljoner världen över och tog endast åtta dagar att spela in.
