Deadwood blir film – Så tycker W. Earl Brown om manuset
"Deadwood"-stjärnan W. Earl Brown har precis läst manuset till HBO:s film.
Efter många års spekulation är det nu konstaterat att HBO ska göra långfilm av sin serie "Deadwood". Seriens skapare David Milch skriver manus. Inspelningen förväntas inledas den 5 oktober.
W. Earl Brown som spelar Dan Dority i serien kommer också att ha en roll i filmen. Nyligen twittrade Brown om sina tankar kring manuset. Brown berättar följande,
I just read the final draft. Holy. S–t. In the course of those two hours, my emotions ricocheted in every fucking direction: exhilaration to melancholy; hoots of joy to screams of despair. The Maestro has topped himself.
As my eye scanned the page, I read the Dan Dority dialogue aloud. Milch’s words are like a scrumptious meal; the complexity of its flavours is something to savour. The structure is essentially the same as the first version I read a year and a half ago, but the complexities of the relationships, the emotional peaks and depths, are all sharpened to a razor-fine edge. It’s gut-wrenching.
Daniel Minahan står för regin. Än finns där inget datum när Deadwood-filmen har premiär men vi kan förvänta oss att det blir under sommaren 2019.
